Ghosts of Past consists of compositions and phone recordings from 2011-2016. From love to loss, fear, contentment, anger, joy, and every combination of emotions imagined. When I couldn't find the words, this was how I could speak. These pieces are how I could process what I was feeling in those moments, with a little experimental editing for a more haunted element.
Some of what I had went through I'm not proud of, but every sound created in this album has been produced with a fierce love for which I do take pride in.
I hope you enjoy my ghost town.

I owe a lot of my passion for music to my parents and high school band program. The friends I had made are still my biggest support system and motivators for me to create. I also greatly appreciate the opportunities provided by our director, Erick Senkmajer. Without his guidance and approach, band and music in general would not have been the same.

My mom, Coleen Cates, the biggest influence for my art.

The whole music community from my hometown, for sticking with music and inspiring me to finally release something.

Brendan Kuras (SchwonkSoundStead/BIOS), for being an awesome and amazing friend for helping me with some track issues (this project probably would've been postponed indefinitely if it weren't for your expertise).

And finally, I owe it all to my son. My main reason for everything I do. In hopes that he will learn to also follow his passions and push through all fears.
